Claude Team: Set It Up Yourself or Have It Done

Every Claude Team plan comes with the pieces: enterprise search (the "Ask Your Org" project), projects, skills, plugins, and scheduled tasks that run while your laptop is closed. Most teams turn Claude on and never set them up, so it only answers when someone asks. You can set it up yourself, with me coaching, or have me do it in 14 days. All three run on the same seats.

Set it up yourself if

  • Someone on your team lives in Claude and has a few hours a week
  • Answers from your connected tools, when someone asks, are enough for now
  • You want to understand every piece. Coaching gets you there in four sessions, for $1,997

Have me set it up if

  • You want proposals and follow-ups drafted overnight, without anyone opening a chat
  • Nobody on your team has hours a week to spare
  • You want your prices and rules written down once, on every seat
  • You'd like the mistakes I already made to stay mine

Three Ways to Set Up the Same Seats

Same Claude Team plan in all three. You own everything in all three.

Where Doing It Yourself Wins

If you have the time, it's the cheapest route and the best way to learn.

What doing it yourself gets you

  • Enterprise search comes with the seats, and an owner can set it up this afternoon. It only shows each person what they can already open.
  • It's $3,997 cheaper, or you pay $1,997 for coaching instead.
  • You'll understand every piece, so you'll know what to fix when Anthropic changes something.
  • You can start today and have me set it up later. Nothing you build gets thrown away.

Where my setup falls short

  • It's Claude only. If your team won't give up ChatGPT or Copilot, you'd pay for both.
  • It moves with Anthropic. When they change a feature, the setup has to change with it: your team does that, or I do on Release care.
  • One person does it: me. You're betting on my calendar, which is why the guarantee comes with all your money back.
  • It's priced for one team of up to 20. A bigger company, on Claude Team or Enterprise, gets scoped on a call, and needs someone in IT who owns permissions.
  • It drafts and never sends. Someone still reads every proposal before it goes out.
  • If someone on your team already lives in Claude and has the hours, coaching for $1,997 gets you most of the way.

We found six company rules living in one person's private AI memory, including "never send client email." They only applied to that person's sessions. Write down the rulings.

Questions About Claude Team

Help Topics
_ □ ×
Isn't this just Claude's enterprise search?
No, though enterprise search is a good start and your team can keep using it. It answers when someone asks, searching each connected app live with that person's own access, on instructions Anthropic writes. A proper setup adds three things it doesn't do. It drafts proposals and follow-ups overnight without anyone asking. It works from a project per client, with the files that matter checked and added, so the answer doesn't depend on which copy of a file search finds first. And it follows one manual with your prices and your process, with access set per client.
Do I need Claude Team for this?
You need paid Claude seats for the people who'll use it, and Team is the usual pick for a group. Standard seats are $20 a month each billed yearly, or $25 monthly, for 2 to 150 people.
Where do I start on my own?
Turn on enterprise search, write your prices and rules into a project's instructions, and try one scheduled task in Cowork. The free setup planner gives you a plan for your own tools, and if you're technical, the free Claude Code guide goes deeper.
What does coaching include?
A 30-minute kickoff and four 90-minute sessions over two weeks for up to 5 people, a recap after each one, and up to 5 questions by email in the 30 days after. You do the typing on your own files. Details.
Does my team need to use Claude Code?
No. Your team uses it from the regular Claude app on desktop, web or phone. Claude Code is for whoever wants the rules enforced by scripts, which is how we run ours. How the options compare.
