Gemini for Workspace vs Claude, Set Up for You
Gemini comes with Google Workspace's business plans, and Workspace Studio can now run agents on a schedule or when an email arrives. It's built around Google's apps, and someone on your team builds the agents. I set up Claude Team for teams whose work spreads past Google, with your company written down and the jobs built for you.

Pick Gemini if
- Your company runs on Gmail, Drive, Docs and Meet
- Someone on your team will build the Studio agents and keep them current
- You don't want another bill
Have me set up Claude if
- Your books are in QuickBooks or your CRM is HubSpot
- You want one company manual every seat follows, not Gems each person picks
- You want the setup done for you, with proposals waiting in your drafts in the morning
Side by Side
| Gemini for Workspace | Claude Team, set up by me | |
|---|---|---|
| The platform | ||
| Work on a schedule | Workspace Studio agents, on a schedule or when an email arrives, mostly inside Google's apps | Scheduled tasks in Cowork, run in the cloud with your laptop closed |
| Shared with the whole team | Gems shared across the company. Each person picks which ones to use | Org skills and required plugins, on every seat |
| Tools outside Google | Asana, Jira, Salesforce and webhooks in Studio | Connectors like QuickBooks, HubSpot and Microsoft 365 |
| Trains on your data | No: your Workspace content doesn't train Google's models | No, by default |
| Seats | Included in Workspace Business Standard and up | $20 a seat a month, billed yearly; $25 monthly |
| The setup | ||
| Who writes down how your company works | You | I do, and you approve it |
| Who builds the jobs and connects everyone | You or your Workspace admin | I do, with two recorded trainings |
| Running by day 14 | Whatever you've built by then | One job on your real work, guaranteed |
| Keeping up with new features | You track what Google ships | Optional Release care: I track what Anthropic ships, $997 a month |
| 10 people | ||
| First year | Included in your Workspace plan | $2,400 of seats, plus $3,997 once |
| Three years | Included in your Workspace plan | $7,200 of seats, plus $3,997 once |
The $3,997 setup pays for itself once your team gets back 80 hours. That's one workday each for 10 people, if an hour of their time is worth $50.

Where Gemini Wins
If you already pay for Workspace, it's free to try today.
What it does better
- It's already paid for on Business Standard and Plus.
- It works inside the email or doc you have open.
- Studio agents can start the moment an email arrives, not only on a schedule.
Where my setup falls short
- It's Claude only. If your team won't give up ChatGPT or Copilot, you'd pay for both.
- It moves with Anthropic. When they change a feature, the setup has to change with it: your team does that, or I do on Release care.
- One person does it: me. You're betting on my calendar, which is why the guarantee comes with all your money back.
- It's priced for one team of up to 20. A bigger company, on Claude Team or Enterprise, gets scoped on a call, and needs someone in IT who owns permissions.
- It drafts and never sends. Someone still reads every proposal before it goes out.
- If someone on your team already lives in Claude and has the hours, coaching for $1,997 gets you most of the way.
Ours syncs client email at 9am, 1pm and 4pm on weekdays and checks for new call transcripts every hour. Most of the work went into those schedules. The model was the easy part. What's inside ours.
