Why I Only Set Up Claude

People ask why I don't set up ChatGPT or Copilot too. The short answer: I'd rather know one platform deeply than three on the surface, and Claude is the one I bet my own company on.

One platform, known deeply

A setup goes stale the day the vendor ships something new. Keeping up is a real job: reading every release, testing what matters for a team your size, and updating the setup. That’s what Release care is. Doing it for three vendors would mean doing it badly for all three.

So this is mostly a choice about how I work. ChatGPT, Copilot and Gemini are good products, and every comparison page on this site says where each one wins. I picked one, and I picked it the honest way: I’ve run my own company, Nexrizen, on Claude every working day since June 2026, and I know where it breaks because it broke on us first.

What Claude ships that a team setup needs

Three pieces matter most, and Claude Team has all of them on the standard seat.

Your company’s rules on every seat. Your prices, process and voice go into a plugin that syncs from a private GitHub repository your company owns. An owner marks it Required, which installs it for every member with no option to remove it (plugins for your organization, org skills).

Work that runs while nobody’s asking. Scheduled tasks in Cowork run hourly, daily, weekly or on weekdays. They run remotely, so they keep going with your computer asleep or Claude closed, unless a task needs files or apps on your own machine (scheduled tasks). That’s what turns a sales call into a drafted proposal by morning.

Answers from your own tools. Enterprise search answers from your connected docs, chat and email, and each person sees only what they can already open (enterprise search).

ChatGPT, Copilot and Gemini ship versions of most of this now, and I say so on their comparison pages. What tips it for me is the repository: your company written down once, owned by you, on every seat.

What Anthropic does with your data

It doesn’t train on your business’s work by default. Anthropic’s policy for its commercial products, including Claude Team, Enterprise and the API, is that your inputs and outputs aren’t used to train its models. The exception is feedback someone chooses to send, like a thumbs up, and Team owners can turn that off for the whole company (training policy, updated August 18, 2026).

There are no ads in Claude. On February 4, 2026, Anthropic committed to keeping Claude ad-free, with no “sponsored” links next to your conversations and no advertisers influencing Claude’s answers (Anthropic’s post, PYMNTS coverage). For a business, that matters more than it sounds. An AI that earns money from ads has a second customer, and its suggestions to your team are made with that customer in mind too.

Built to stay open

Anthropic created the Model Context Protocol, the standard Claude’s connectors use, and on December 9, 2025 donated it to the Agentic AI Foundation, a directed fund under the Linux Foundation that it co-founded with Block and OpenAI (announcement). On October 22, 2026, it donated Agent Skills, the format your company manual is written in, to the same foundation. Anthropic says more than 70 agent platforms have integrated it, including ChatGPT, Cursor, GitHub Copilot and VS Code (announcement).

That’s the part I’d underline for a business owner. The manual I write for you is plain files in an open format other AI tools read, which is why every setup comes with an exit doc that explains how to move it without me.

Who Anthropic answers to

Anthropic is a public benefit corporation. Under Delaware law, that lets its directors balance shareholders’ financial interests with the company’s stated public benefit. When it set up its Long-Term Benefit Trust in 2023, Anthropic described it as an independent body of five financially disinterested members, holding a special class of stock that lets it elect and remove board members, phasing in to a majority of the board within four years (Anthropic on the trust). None of that guarantees anything about next quarter’s product. It does tell you what the company is built to answer to.

Where Claude falls short

I’d rather you hear these from me:

  • If your company lives in Microsoft 365 and an IT partner already manages it, Copilot sits inside the tools your team opens every day. The Copilot comparison says when that wins.
  • Enterprise search works on Claude Desktop, not the phone apps, and an owner has to finish setting it up (enterprise search).
  • Usage limits are per person, and enterprise search queries count toward them. An admin can turn on usage credits so people keep working past their limit, at extra cost.
  • Claude Duet, Anthropic’s assistant that checks your accounts in the background, is a research preview for Pro and Max in the US, through a waitlist. Anthropic says it plans to bring it to Team plans later (Duet).
  • It changes fast. A feature you set up this month can work differently next month. That’s the reason Release care exists, and the reason I only follow one vendor.

What I do with it

I set up standard Claude Team for one team of up to 20: your company written down and on every seat, your tools connected, and jobs that draft the work overnight. One job live by day 14 and your team using it weekly by day 30, or your money back. If you’d rather do it yourself, I coach that too, and the comparison with doing it on your own is honest about when you don’t need me.
